In Northern Kenya nomads roam the land searching for food and water. It is a
place where wealth is not measured in cash or credit, but cows and
goats. These animals are the people’s
survival. Beginning at age 12 children are taught to steal with AK-47's.
Some die protecting their animals. Many families go to sleep hungry.
Now imagine a place where children from these warring tribes come together and are provided food, shelter, education and love. Where they are taught to live in peace with their neighbor and those from other tribes. It’s called Daylight Center and School. Today Daylight has committed teachers providing education for 150 kids. We teach them the value of their tribal heritage and prepare them for future success. |
