"I am eager to commend to you a young man [Nathan Roberts] who has stepped far out of his cultural upbringing and his 'comfort zone' to undertake personal service on behalf of people of poverty and war half a world away, and to go to great lengths of personal sacrifice to give that service...Michael [Kimpur] has been dedicated to his people and to helping Pokot youngsters make a new start in their lives through education, including the honoring of many values that can give them freedom and dignity"
The Rev. Dr. Arthur A. Rouner Jr.
President and Founder of Pilgrim Center for Reconciliation

The challenge of development is actually a complex set of many different interconnected challenges: Daylight Center is responding through a holistic approach to ethnic conflict, education, and capacity development. Daylight is serving people that would otherwise be left out or left behind. And perhaps most importantly, the vision of Daylight is driven by empowered local leaders.

Field Organizer for the Upper Midwest of Bread for the World

AT on the Mic was a child soldier in Liberia and hopes that his music will transform the lives of people and encourage them to support putting an end to child soldiering in Africa.  Daylight Center helps kids just like him.
"I used to walk around with an AK-47 around my shoulder you gotta kill people everyday. I went to America to be a better man, to be an Education Man." -lyrics from Do What You Wanna Do.
