Mary: A Prayer of Thanks

Mary is 19 years old and has 3 children.  She was married for a bride price of 30 cows at 14 years old after being circumcised.  She had 3 beautiful children without complications.  During the birth of her 4th child there were complications due to her circumcision, and the midwife performed a crude surgery which left her child stillborn.  The birth caused her uterus to rupture and fall out.  For the last two years she has lived as an outcast in the community because she has not been able to keep from bleeding. Fortunately, in January 2010, Daylight Center was able to facilitate her surgery and she will now live a life free of pain and shame.  The girls who attend Daylight will be protected from circumcision.

House of Mercy:  A Prayer of Thanks for Hosting our Non-Profit

The House of Mercy has agreed to be our Hosting Non-Profit.  We now have 501(c)3 status and can accept tax-exempt  donations.  This is a huge blessing.

Feed My Starving Children: A Prayer of Thanks

Daylight Center relies on donations from local Kenyans and global partners to feed the children in school. We also use Feed My Starving Children food.

Michael's Mom: A Prayer of Thanks

Michael Kimpur's mom was able to have eye surgery because of the generous donations of a Daylight Global Partner.

"Thank you, Thank you, You are so much like Jesus you have really blessed me.  When I get to heaven I will come and find you and shake your hand and tell everyone what you have done for me. Thank you."
